Cinderella Project Appointments

Our annual Prom Dress Giveaway event will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 11am-6pm. Appointments are required, and space is limited. Please use the form below to request your appointment time for March 22 (do NOT use the appointment tab at the top of the page). If no appointment times are available, you can be added to our waitlist in case of cancellation, but we cannot guarantee an appointment will become available and no walk-ins will be available.

All participants must be currently enrolled in high school and attend the event in person to receive a free dress. Students from any school district are welcome to attend, and proof of financial need is not required.

All dresses in our giveaway have been generously donated by the community and are usually pre-worn. We do our best to have dresses available for all participants. Still, our selection in sizes 22+ can be very limited, and we cannot guarantee a perfect dress for every participant.

(If you are planning on attending with a friend or relative who is also in need of a dress and are OK with sharing a dressing room, please reserve just 1 appointment time and we can help both of you at once. This will allow us to serve more people with our limited appointments. If you have a large group of participants, please email cinderella@dresslikeyou.com for special arrangements. Thank you!)

Schedule your appointment below!

1. This is a one day event and is by appointment only. Walk ins will not be available this year.

2. This event is only for those currently enrolled in HIGH SCHOOL only. Participants from any school district are welcome (including home school), but we cannot provide dresses for younger students or those not currently in high school. Our even is intended for PROM only, not other events.

3. We operate on the honor system - no proof of financial need is required.

4. Participants must attend in person to receive a free dress.

5. The event is held at Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan Program & Training Center, 601 W. Maple, Kalamazoo.

6. Strict 30 minute time limit per appointment.

7. Up to 2 girls may share the same appointment spot if they are OK with sharing a dressing room at the same time.

8. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to check in and begin the selection process. (Please wait outside if you arrive more than 15 minutes prior.)

9. Strict limit of 1 guest per attendee.

10. Proper facemasks must be worn by everyone at all times while inside the building.

11. All dresses and accessories are given free of charge to participants. We will do our best to find a great dress for each girl, but we cannot guarantee to have a perfect dress for everyone. Selection in sizes 22+ is typically very limited.
